Rapid weight loss is not a good idea.  It can put your body into shock.  This will make it tend to hold onto fat.  And, once you lose weight, you will be more likely to gain it back. 

The body reacts to starvation by improving energy consumption.  This will make it harder to lose weight.  You have got to convince your body that it is ok to use a lot of energy up.  The way to do this is to stay active and eat a lot of healthy food.  You’re not going to get fat eating apples and spinach leaves.
