Weight Loss Surgery
If you are seriously obese and other weight loss options haven’t worked, than surgery may be your only option. In weight loss surgery, the stomach is stapled or a laparoscopic band is placed on the stomach. The stomach, in effect, is shrunk to limit food intake to a very small amount.
After surgery, the patient can only eat a few ounces at a time. The stomach will slowly grow back to normal, but by then you should be thin. It is a very difficult thing to go through and shouldn’t be done unless it’s your last option.
After surgery, you will feel weak and hungry because you are used to much higher food intake. If you diet, your stomach will also naturally shrink. When you first diet, you will get weak and not feel right. This is because the body takes time to adjust to the new food level. Weight loss surgery forces you to get there.
