If you are too fat and want to lose weight, you have come to the right place.  Here are some of our top tips.

  1. Don’t starve yourself.  Stay full.
  2. Drink water with lemon.
  3. Eat lots of dark leafy greens every day.  We are talking like many pounds.
  4. Avoid sugar like the plague.  Sugar adds lots of calories to everything and spikes insulin and that will help you hold onto calories.
  5. Eat meat sparingly.  Meat is generally not that good for you.  Eat the right amount for your body and no more.  If you are a vegetarian, be careful to eat enough protein.
  6. Eat when hungry.  Food is no longer a sport for you.  Eat to live and that’s it.
  7. Only buy healthy foods.  If you have no self control have someone else do your shopping.
  8. Do as many active things as possible.  Run, bike, swim, jog, walk, hike, climb, jump, play sports, go camping, etc.  Stay busy doing active things.
  9. Limit television, computer, and video game time.  The more you sit the fatter you will be.  One hour, per day, outside work, is plenty. 10- Make a thin friend; if possible.  Friends will get you out of the house doing things and the activity will help you lose weight.  We say thin friend because they will be less likely to support your overeating habits.  Making friends is one of the most important ways to lose weight.  It makes sticking with your activities much more likely because you will be having fun.
    11- Decide what to eat before going out. 
    12- Don’t eat out unless it is planned.
    13- Write down what you eat.  Keep a journal
    14- Ask friends and family to support you in your weight loss.
    15- Get a reality check.  Sometimes people delude themselves into thinking that they really don’t need help or that they aren’t overweight.
    16- Get a weight loss coach.  If you need help, get someone to work with you.  A good weight loss coach can keep you motivated and measure results.
    17- Get enough sleep.  Sleep deprivation leads to stress and that leads to weight gain.
    18- Stay away from stress. Stress increases cortisol and that helps you regain weight.
    19- Affirm to yourself every day that your past is not your future.  Tell yourself a story about how you will overcome your weight loss.
